Known locally for her resilience, the dog named Shi Bao lost her hind legs in a train accident several years ago. Yet, this hasn’t stopped her from being a loving mother.
She is often seen gently caring for her new puppies, skillfully balancing on her front legs during their walks together.
Shi Bao’s story caught the attention of many following a feature by MailOnline. Soon after, a British charity stepped in to provide help by rescuing Shi Bao and her puppies from their life on the streets.
In a twist of fate, Shi Bao and her puppies have been given a fresh start in Hong Kong. Here, they will never have to hunt for food scraps again.
Beyond providing a safe home for her family, Shi Bao’s incredible journey will also be used to highlight issues of animal cruelty across Asia.
As a special gesture, she will soon receive a pair of wheels to enhance her mobility, making her daily activities much more manageable.
