Volunteers from Trenton Animals Rock came across Ariel while she was wandering the streets. Instantly captivated by her presence, they knew they had to help.
After taking her in for an examination, they discovered that Ariel had focamelia, a birth defect resulting from her mother being exposed to certain toxins during pregnancy.
Due to her small size, comprehensive diagnostic tests were challenging, but positive news came as her heart and lungs were found to be healthy.
As days passed, Ariel thrived, adapting to life and learning doggy ways. She quickly became a favorite among the shelter’s residents and volunteers, forging new friendships along the way.
One volunteer was so taken by Ariel’s charm and spirit that he chose to foster her, inviting her into a home already filled with several other dogs. Ariel quickly found her place and formed deep bonds with her foster family and furry companions.
