While making his usual trip to work, Graham Dobson, who lives in Hull, stumbled upon a distressed and frightened dog tied to a lamppost by the roadside.
Feeling compassion for the abandoned animal, Dobson provided him with food and waited, hoping the dog’s owner would return. Hours passed, and it became clear the dog had been left behind.
Realizing this, Dobson contacted the local dog warden to ensure the animal’s safety.

This abandoned dog, seemingly holding onto hope that his owners would return, appeared confused by his situation. Despite his outward wait, it seemed he understood he had been forsaken.
Dobson’s only wish is for the dog to find a loving, permanent home.
“It broke my heart to see how upset he was because he truly was a wonderful and friendly dog,” Dobson expressed. “He was scared. I don’t understand how someone could just leave a dog behind.

I have a deep love for animals and would never want them to be abandoned or mistreated.”
The Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Boxer Rescue has taken the dog into their care, naming him Max. The rescue organization is actively working to find him a good home.
The organization shared, “Max is thriving and has been placed with a highly experienced foster family. They are helping us evaluate and care for him.

We’ve received lots of inquiries about Max, but for now, our priority is to focus on his well-being and assess his needs.”
With the love and care he is receiving, it is only a matter of time before Max finds a forever home. The hope is that he will never face neglect or mistreatment again.
