Amber’s journey from loneliness to love is a story that touches the heart. Her life was turned upside down when her owner passed away, leaving her alone in a deserted house. Committed to her home, Amber faithfully stayed by the doorstep, even as everything she knew crumbled.
When rescuers from Howl Of A Dog arrived, they discovered Amber huddled under the house’s ruins. Overwhelmed by fear and the uncertainty of months fending for herself, she kept her distance, watching cautiously from the edge of the yard.

Despite Amber’s apprehensions, the rescuers patiently worked to earn her trust. Gradually, they guided her into a room in the house, where, for the first time, the glimmer in her eyes signaled a turning point. This newfound trust fueled their efforts to help Amber heal.
Embraced by the rescuers’ unwavering care, Amber started her path to recovery. At the vet, however, they discovered she was infested with ticks and suffering from Babesiosis, an illness transmitted by ticks. Without a microchip or medical history to offer insights into her past, it was a mystery, but the team was resolute in their mission to nurse her back to health.

Each day brought improvement as Amber regained her strength. With her wounds healing and her heart opening up to those around her, a remarkable transformation began to take place. Surrounded by compassionate friends and endless support, she started to flourish.
Hearing about Amber’s story, Tatjana, a devoted supporter of Howl Of A Dog, stepped up to help find Amber a loving home. Soon after, Brigit and Lars, a caring couple, offered to foster her, marking the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

It didn’t take long for Amber to win their hearts. What began as a temporary foster arrangement blossomed into a permanent home. Brigit and Lars decided to adopt Amber, granting her the joyful life she so deserved.
Today, Amber thrives in a loving home, her story a testament to the power of hope and kindness to transform even the darkest circumstances into a promising future.
