Born with a deformity, a tiny puppy faced rejection from his mother right after birth. Against all odds, however, this determined little pup fought to survive.
His story, which began with adversity, took a positive turn when Bosley’s Place, an animal rescue in Georgia, stepped in to help. They took care of him and named him Flipflop. Under their watchful eye, Flipflop’s transformation was inspiring. He quickly mastered bottle-feeding and began gaining weight healthily.

“Aside from the noticeable deformity in his front left leg, he seems very healthy and has a great appetite,” the rescue team shared on Facebook.
With dedicated care, Flipflop grew into a spirited and loving puppy. His cheerful personality soon made him a favorite among the rescue’s staff and other dogs. Though there were concerns initially about the possible need for surgery on his deformed leg, Flipflop proved he could thrive without it.

“He’s managing well, showing no signs of discomfort, and because he’s not a heavy dog, there’s no risk of infection. So, he gets to keep the leg,” confirmed the rescue.
Once Flipflop was ready for adoption, a devoted dog-loving family led by Nikki opened their arms to him. The team at Bosley’s Place was thrilled to see Flipflop, now named Butters, welcomed into such a loving environment. The family not only adopted Butters but also two other special-needs puppies from the rescue, Griff and Henry, now known as Hank.

Butters now enjoys life in a home brimming with affection, living alongside his new siblings and adoring human family. After facing such a challenging start to life, each day is now a happy new chapter for this once-rejected puppy.
