A dog, now lovingly named Hope, endured significant mistreatment and is in dire health. Fortunately, her journey towards recovery has begun.
Hope’s condition when found was heart-wrenching, evoking tears from those who rescued her. Severely neglected, her health had deteriorated badly, making her situation one of the worst cases seen by her rescuers.
Immediately after her rescue, Hope received essential medical care. She was started on an IV, underwent blood tests, and had X-rays taken. At the time, she weighed only 37 pounds but should have weighed at least 50 pounds.
Her body was infested with 20 ticks, she had cataracts, and walking was a challenge for her due to her weakened state. Hope was given a much-needed bath and antibiotics for an eye infection.
That night marked the beginning of Hope’s recovery with her first insulin injection. Her caregivers eagerly anticipate her transformation and are grateful for her survival.
In just three weeks, Hope’s condition has significantly improved. She has gone from a dog the veterinarians were surprised to find alive to one who tends to herself as healthy dogs do.
An eye exam was scheduled for Day 21, raising hopes that she might regain her sight. Her progress is evident as she starts to regain her form, and her gratitude extends to those who helped her, expressed through her constant smiles.
Now thriving in her new home, Hope, along with her companion dog, brings immense joy. Her radiant smile signifies her remarkable recovery and the special bond she shares with her new family.
