Stanford’s actions have earned him the reputation of being a truly loyal companion. Approximately two and a half years old, Stanford has had a challenging past, but despite his good deeds, no one has shown interest in giving him a forever home.
Amber Greene, the manager of the county animal shelter, spoke to WFAA, expressing her admiration for Stanford’s selflessness, stating, “This dog is a hero.”
In recognition of his noble act of blood donation, Stanford is entitled to free vaccinations until he reaches eight years old. Yet, despite this, no one has stepped forward to adopt him.

There is now an urgent need to find Stanford a permanent home. As per shelter policies, if a suitable home is not found soon, he faces the risk of euthanasia to make space for incoming animals.
Greene explained, “The only way they can leave is by being adopted, moved, or killed.”
Stanford has already contributed greatly to his community, and it would be a great loss if his life were not saved.

Greene and the shelter are hoping for a positive outcome, emphasizing the critical choice between saving Stanford by finding him a home or facing a tragic decision.
Rescue organizations and compassionate individuals are urged to consider adopting Stanford, allowing him to live the rewarding life he deserves after all he has done for others.
