Despite being heartbroken by the recent loss of their 15-year-old dog, the family decided to adopt Strawberry, bringing her into their home where love and affection overflowed.

Strawberry quickly became a beloved member of the family, known for her affectionate nature. “She’s wonderful to snuggle up to,” said Claire Kuhlman, Kristen’s daughter, with a smile.

The family was left perplexed as to why such a friendly dog was close to being put down. “We often wonder how she ended up in such a situation,” said Jack Kuhlman, Kristen’s son.

The dog’s name, Strawberry, stuck due to its fitting nature. “It’s cute and has a nice ring to it, so sometimes we call her ‘Strawbs,’” explained Jeff Kuhlman, the family patriarch.

They even found a leash adorned with strawberries, which seemed like a perfect match.

Strawberry has become a local celebrity in their neighborhood, instantly recognizable by the unique bump on her head. “People roll down their windows to greet her,” shared Kristen Kuhlman, “and that’s something that brings a lot of joy to us.”
